Dusseldorf The leading German index got off to a turbulent start in the new trading week. The Dax slipped 2.4 percent at noon and is listed at 12,742 points, around 300 points lower than on Friday. That’s the biggest one-day loss since early March. Pre-market prices were even seen at 12,604 points.

The brokers are reacting to the after-hours report on Friday, according to which the Russian company Gazprom no longer wants to supply natural gas to Germany via the Nord Stream pipeline until further notice. This step increases the pressure on Europe to avoid energy shortages this winter.

On Friday, the stock market barometer was up 3.3 percent at 13,050 points. If the Dax does not manage to quickly overcome the 13,000 point mark again, there is a risk of a slide towards the low for the year, which is 12,390 points. According to the chart technology, if the low for the year were to be sustained, the next support would only be at 11,450 points.
