Dax says goodbye to the 16,000 point mark

Dusseldorf On the German stock market, the Dax tried for five and a half hours to break the 16,000 point mark. In vain, because this attempt ended with the daily high of 15,996 points. The leading index is currently down 0.1 percent in midday trading at 15,946 points.

As a result, the Dax once again failed to establish itself above the 16,000 point mark in the long term. Already on the first day of trading in May, the leading German index reached a new annual high of 16,011 points. But the stock exchange barometer was only able to maintain this level for a few minutes.

It would be a surprise if the small rally last Friday with a plus of 1.4 percent seamlessly turned into a larger one and the Dax could establish itself above the 16,000 point mark this week.
