Dax is struggling with the 13,000 point mark

Frankfurt The Dax begins the last trading day in August with a positive sign. In the first few minutes of trading on Wednesday, it gains half a percent and rises to 13,020 points. A short time later it is still positive, but has fallen below the 13,000 mark.

The Dax also started positively on Monday and rose by up to two percent to 13,150 points. But then the German inflation rate, which was higher than expected at 7.9 percent, pushed the leading index into the red. It closed down 0.5 percent at 12,961 points.
