Dax in the afternoon without impulses – the 16,000 point mark is a long way off

Dusseldorf Burdened by poor economic figures, the leading German index started Thursday with losses. In the first hours of trading, the Dax temporarily lost 0.7 percent. At noon he compensated for part of the losses and since then has been scratching at the closing price on Wednesday. In the afternoon it is listed at 15,808 points.

Economic data on Thursday caused pessimism on the markets. Accordingly, Germany slipped into a recession in the first quarter.

The short trip above the 16,000 point mark seems to be over. Last Thursday, the Frankfurt stock exchange barometer pushed over the psychologically important limit and stayed there for four trading days.

Last Friday, the Dax even reached a new record with 16,331 points. Since then, however, things have gone downhill. Yesterday, Wednesday, the Dax even slipped back well below the 16,000 point threshold. It closed at 15,842 points, down almost two percent.
