Dax falls to lowest level since June 1st

Dusseldorf The German stock market continues its downward trend of the past few days. The Dax fell to 15,810 points on Thursday. The leading index was last this low on June 1st.

At least there is a recovery in trading. The Dax makes up for some of the losses and is 0.5 percent lower at 15,946 points in the afternoon.

There is also a lack of impetus for an end to the downtrend. In the meantime, the Dax has lost almost 600 points since last Friday’s record high of 16,427 points – that’s a weak record in just a few days. That said, larger profit-taking comes as no surprise after a record has been set.
