Dax falls below 14,000 points again on the last trading day of the year

Dusseldorf How will the Dax end the stock market year 2022? This question is the focus this Friday. At the start of trading, the leading index was 0.6 percent down at 13,986 points. Concerns about the further monetary policy of the central banks, the risk of a recession and the new corona wave in China are pushing the barometer back below the 14,000 point mark.

Over the year, the Dax is heading for a minus of more than eleven percent. For comparison: in 2021 the Frankfurt stock exchange barometer rose by 15.8 percent.

Positive targets come from Asia and the USA on this day. Asia’s stock exchanges went up on Friday: Investors are probably counting on falling inflation, and concerns about the corona outbreak in China faded into the background for the time being.
