Frankfurt The Dax posted slight discounts on Wednesday. In the early afternoon, the stock market barometer was 0.9 percent weaker at 12,661 points. The leading eurozone index, the EuroStoxx 50, is also down one percent, while the MDax is down a good 1.5 percent
Traders spoke of profit-taking. Because the stock exchanges in the USA and Europe had increased significantly on Monday and especially Tuesday.
In the previous week, the Dax had fallen to 11,862 points, its lowest level since November 2020. From this level, it was recently able to recover by almost seven percent.
“How sustainable this movement is remains to be seen,” explained the experts at Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen (Helaba). A lot of negative things are probably priced in.
