Dusseldorf Weak start to the week on the German stock market: After a reasonably stable start, the Dax slipped significantly in the morning, but was then able to limit the losses significantly. At noon, the leading index is back at 13,993 points, a drop of only 0.7 percent.

Interesting about the course of trading: around 10 a.m. there was a brief sell-off. The Dax slipped to 13,778 points, but just as quickly bargain hunters stepped into shares again and heaved the Dax back towards 14,000 points.

Last Friday, the stock exchange barometer remained above this psychologically important mark throughout the entire trading day and ended the past week with an increase of 0.84 percent at 14,097 points.

With today’s price slide, the German stock exchange is reacting to the late sell-off in the USA. After the end of trading in this country, the Dow Jones accelerated its descent. Ultimately, there was a decline of 2.77 percent.
