Dax climbs back above the 15,000 point mark

Dusseldorf After a turbulent start to the week, things are likely to be calmer on Tuesday. The focus is again on the round mark of 15,000 points. The Dax rose to 15,116 points in morning trading this Tuesday – an increase of 1.2 percent.

Last Monday was interesting due to its very high daily range of around 530 points. The high level of buybacks during the course of the day yesterday, which caused the Dax to close at 14,933 points, and the sometimes significant gains on the US stock market continue to inspire the leading German index on Tuesday.

For Jörg Scherer, technical analyst at HSBC Germany, yesterday’s trading was a classic reversal formation, called “reversal” in technical jargon. The quick recapture of the groundbreaking mark of 14,800 points also played an important role.
