Cologne Since the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, the number of hacker attacks has increased. Eleven percent of companies in Germany were victims of a cyber attack in 2022, according to the current TÜV cyber security study. 57 percent of the security officers surveyed see their company threatened by cyber attacks. Those who protect themselves well against attacks have a competitive advantage. 75 percent of those surveyed are convinced of this.

Artificial intelligence (AI) plays an important role, says Rolando Grandi, fund manager of the Echiquier Artificial Intelligence equity fund: “AI has completely changed cyber security in recent years. It is used to train cybersecurity products to detect anomalies.”

Automation is also becoming more important. Microsoft collects 65 trillion security alerts every day. “This data is fed into AI models, which are evolving every day and becoming more and more powerful,” says Grandi.
