Cryptocurrency Statements from the US Florida Governor: “The US Government Doesn’t Like Cryptocurrencies Because…”

Ron DeSantis, the governor of the US state of Florida, in his last speech cryptocurrencies and central bank digital currencies (CBDC).

Governor DeSantis said that US officials want to get rid of cryptocurrencies and that central bank digital currencies are intended to be used as the sole currency.

The Reason The U.S. Government Doesn’t Like Cryptocurrencies Can’t Control Them

Saying that citizens should be able to freely invest in cryptocurrencies, DeSantis stated that the US government does not like cryptocurrencies because these currencies cannot be controlled by the authorities.

DeSantis said officials would expand central bank digital currencies to include social credit scores if possible, which would significantly curtail Americans’ freedom.

The Florida governor also announced that if the Fed or the Treasury Department makes a decision in favor of central bank digital currencies, they will be banned in the state. He argued that this was necessary for the financial freedom of Floridans.
