Cryptocurrency Move from the Russian Parliament!

In an announcement published by the Russian Federal Assembly today, it was stated that a working group will be formed to carry out studies on the circulation of cryptocurrencies.

According to the announcement made on the parliament’s website, the explanations were gathered under the following headings.

“At the plenary meeting on Thursday, November 11, First Vice-Chairman of the Security and Anti-Corruption Committee Andrey Lugovoi instructed to form a working group to discuss the issue of the circulation of cryptocurrencies.

Andrey Lugovoi suggested during the meeting that cryptocurrency mining should be legalized, “we have prepared a bill and we will definitely present it.” said.

Andrei Lugovoi explained that miners enrich themselves by 2 billion dollars every year and do not pay taxes. He also noted that due to the presence of cryptocurrencies in a non-regulated area, the possibilities for law enforcement intervention are limited.

The parliamentarian also proposed the creation of an inter-committee working group on the basis of the Security and Anti-Corruption Committee to discuss this issue.

Parliament Speaker Viacheslav Volodin; “With regard to the working group, let’s ask the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Alexei Gordeev, representatives of the relevant committees to create such a working group, and Andrei Lugovoi will be his deputy as the initiator of this topic,” he said.
