South Korean Media Claims Do Kwon Is In Serbia
Terraform Labs CEO Kwon Do-hyeong (31) stayed in Serbia on the 11th, South Korean local media reported.
Terraform Labs is the company that launched the LUNA. “We recently received intelligence that CEO Kwon is in Serbia and it has been found to be true,” said an official from the investigation authorities.
The Finance and Securities Crime Unit of the Seoul Southern District Attorney’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Kwon in September on charges of providing false information to investors, while Interpol issued an arrest and repatriation order on the “red wanted” list, the top of the wanted list.
It is known that South Korea’s Ministry of Justice is in the process of requesting cooperation from the Serbian government in the investigation.
It is stated that Kwon went to Singapore last April, just before the Luna incident broke out, and resided in Serbia after Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Prosecutors believe Kwon fled abroad to avoid investigation.
It is not yet clear why Kwon went to Serbia. It is known that the investigating authorities are investigating whether he has a special aide in Serbia. Representative Kwon recently denied most of the accusations in an interview with foreign media and insisted on Twitter, “I’m not running.”
After LUNA’s collapse, the chain was modified and the old LUNA chain was renamed Terra Classic (LUNC).
