Congressional Candidate Not BTC, ETH, and SHIB: Praises This Altcoin!

A crypto-friendly congressional candidate is highlighting another altcoin project instead of BTC, ETH, and SHIB. The US politician also criticized these altcoins for their energy efficiency.

Congressional candidate chose this altcoin over BTC and ETH

In a recent tweet, 33-year-old US congressional candidate January Walker cited Cardano as an example of a “productive” blockchain. At the same time, he claimed that the energy-intensive PoW mechanism of Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, was “inefficient.” Walker is campaigning as a “futurist” and “pragmatic” candidate. He worked as a product manager before entering politics. The United Utah Party seeks to tackle political tribalism by focusing on issues that the vast majority of voters can agree on.

Walker got some backlash on Twitter on Monday after tweeting that blockchains could solve the water crisis. Many users weren’t as enthusiastic about the latest technology as he was.

Walker claims that it is possible to improve sustainability, compliance and consumption management by combining Blockchain and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. The third-party candidate believes that blockchain can eliminate the national debt in three decades and protect users’ personal data from social media companies.

He believes that like the Internet, people will be able to see the benefits of Blockchain within a decade. Walker is running for the 4th Congressional District in Utah. He will face Republican Burgess Owens, who won the seat in 2020. At the time, United Utah only took 2.13% of the vote, making it nearly impossible for Walker to win the race.
