Confusing innovation for group chats from WhatsApp

The new feature spotted by WABetaInfo causes WhatsApp in beta to limit the distribution of a forwarded message. Users in beta version, same message to only one group can be transmitted. In other words, it is aimed to prevent disinformation by sending the fake message to other groups.

In a screenshot taken from the iOS app, the warning “Forwarded messages can only be sent to a group chat” stood out. However, WABetaInfo’s explanation states that the limitation is only in pre-forwarded messages states it is valid. In other words, the first author of the message can send the message to an unlimited number of users.
