A new statement came from CoinEX, the cryptocurrency exchange that was subjected to a cyber attack in recent weeks. Authorities, who simultaneously shared the announcement via the Turkey account, stated that Bitcoin and altcoin withdrawal transactions will restart.
CoinEX shared that withdrawal transactions will restart on September 21 at 11:00. Authorities stated that the tokens with which transactions will begin again are as follows:
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Ethereum (ETH)
- Tether (USDT)
- USD Coin (USDC)
- Tron (TRX)
- Litecoin (LTC)
- Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
- Dogecoin (DOGE)
- Shiba Inu (SHIB)
- BNB Coin (BNB)
Important Notice to CoinEX Customers!
CoinEX officials also shared a very critical warning for their customers. The hacked exchange underlined that new crypto addresses will be created for all investors and the old addresses will no longer be active. If customers accidentally transfer Bitcoin and altcoins to their old addresses, the tokens in question may disappear.
Authorities emphasized that they continue to work for the stability of the new wallet system. CoinEX wants to start withdrawing more altcoin units in the coming days.
The trading platform, which was also used by Turkish investors, suffered a total loss of 70 million dollars. North Korean hackers were behind the cyber attack.
