When asked about a possible relisting after the judge’s decision in the Ripple case, Grewal said it would depend on the reasons for the decision, the judge’s legal justification, and Coinbase’s assessment of whether the court will uphold the decision.
“So a lot will depend on the details of the court decision. I know this won’t be very satisfying for some. However, as a public company, we have a responsibility to exercise caution in this area and with any coin subject to federal court action,” he added.
XRP Community Reacts
The XRP community reacted to Grewal’s comments regarding the Ripple relisting. Yassin Mobarak, an XRP enthusiast, comments on Grewal’s “Ripple vs. He commented that if a decision from the SEC case becomes clear, Coinbase will relist Ripple.”

In January 2021, shortly after the SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple, the Coinbase exchange suspended XRP trading.
The pressure from the Ripple community for XRP to be relisted by exchanges, including Coinbase, continues.
