Coinbase CEO Sued! – Bitcoin System

Blockchain developer firm MouseBelt Labs announced that they are suing the famous CEO for allegedly stealing ideas from the research platform Knowledgr, in which Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong himself invested.

In the lawsuit filed in the US California Supreme Court, it is alleged that Armstrong stole ideas under the name of investing in the Knowledgr platform.

In the lawsuit filed by MouseBelt firm, Armstrong stated that while working on ResearchHub, a self-funded scientific research site, he learned about the platform called Knowledgr, which serves the same purpose, and Armstrong took action to make his own site ResearchHub unrivaled.

MouseBelt also claimed that the famous CEO offered the Knowledgr platform the opportunity to list its tokens on Coinbase.

MouseBelt stated that the main goal of the CEO of Coinbase is to make ResearchHub unrivaled by taking Knowledgr’s company secrets and the ideas behind it, saying:

“Armstrong had no intention of funding Knowledgr or helping him launch his project. Instead, his plan was to channel Knowledgr’s proprietary assets into his own project and eliminate a potential competitor of ResearchHub.”

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has openly faced plagiarism charges, although no explanation has yet been released.

However, Coinbase spokesperson Elliott Suthers said in a statement that “we believe the allegations in the case are completely baseless and frivolous, and we look forward to proving our right in court.”
