An analysis of the Dax history shows: The leading German index still has room to go down.

Dusseldorf Investors are primarily concerned with one question: is the lowest point on the stock market already behind us, or are prices falling again below the previous lows for the year? Or to put it another way: After the price losses this year, is it already worth entering the market, or is it better to wait and see?

In order to come closer to an answer, the Handelsblatt has analyzed the entire course of the German leading index Dax since 1988. Probably the most important finding: A comparison with the trend reversals after the big crashes such as the bursting of the technology bubble from 2001 to 2003, the financial crisis from 2008 to 2009 and the corona crash in 2020 suggests that we have not yet seen the bottom in this stock market year.
