Claim that there will be a big development in the Ripple case this week: The company’s chief legal officer responded to the claim

In his statement, Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty talked about some misunderstandings in the ongoing case between Ripple and the SEC.

Some users on Twitter shared that a final pretrial conference will be held in the Ripple case this week and that it is very important.

Alderoty announced in his statement that the final pre-trial conference will not take place because the SEC dropped its charges against Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and founder Chris Larsen. However, the next important date in the Ripple case is that Ripple will submit its response to the SEC’s penalty request by April 22, and May 6 is the SEC’s deadline to respond.

Despite their differences, Ripple and the SEC recently shook hands on a joint effort. Notably, the parties submitted a joint letter seeking approval from officials “to manage confidentiality issues related to briefing on upcoming resolutions.”

The SEC recently dropped the charges against Ripple executives Brad Garlinghouse and Chris Larsen, and this was interpreted as a major defeat for the institution.
