Chrome fixes memory usage problem!

Resolving memory usage issue in Chrome

Although Google Chrome stands out with its speed and security, it lags behind its competitors in RAM usage. The company, which wants to solve this problem, aims to reduce RAM usage by up to 30 percent with the Chrome 110 update. In this way, Google wants to make the internet browser more efficient.

The memory and energy saving mode, which first appeared with version 108, began to be offered to Chromebook, Mac and Windows users. The features, which started to be offered gradually, are expected to reach all users in a short time.

Memory saver will save up to 30 percent RAM by reducing memory usage on inactive tabs. When the empty tab is visited again, Chrome will refresh this tab and open it for use. Users will also be able to set tabs to be excluded from memory saving mode for some of their favorite sites.

Energy Saver mode, on the other hand, can be very useful, especially for older laptop users. With energy saving, background activity and visual effects on websites are limited. In this way, it is stated that an energy saving of 20 percent can be achieved.

With Chrome 110, different features started to be offered besides Energy and Memory Saver. Most notable among these was the RTX Video Super Resolution feature, which was provided with an artificial intelligence update in the browser with a compatible Nvidia graphics card.
