Cathie Wood contradicts Twitter CEO Dorsey on hyperinflation

Dusseldorf Star investor Cathie Wood reacted to Jack Dorsey’s inflation forecast on Monday. The CEO of Twitter and Square tweeted on his short message service on Friday that the situation would get worse with rising consumer prices: “Hyperinflation will change everything”, wrote Dorsey on Friday evening. “It’s already happening.”

Wood, founder and CEO of the investment company ARK, has now responded with a series of tweets. In it, she explains that, in her opinion, deflationary forces will overcome the price pressures caused by supply bottlenecks that are driving the global economy.

While inflation describes the rise in prices of an economy over a certain period of time, deflation is a phase of falling prices.
