Munich It is extremely rare for Daimler boss Ola Källenius to personally announce personnel changes at the car manufacturer. In this respect, Carolin Strauss can feel ennobled – she is one of the few exceptions.

In an internal circular to the workforce that was available to the Handelsblatt, Källenius recently presented the 36-year-old as his new head of strategy and did not skimp on praise. “Carolin is characterized by a high level of commitment and diverse expertise in a wide variety of departments in our company.

It is therefore ideally suited to further develop Mercedes-Benz’s strategic course, ”stated Källenius. In fact, the manager has already had a remarkable career with the Stuttgart Dax group.

In 2004 she joined the company as a dual student and then worked in vehicle and engine development as well as in corporate audits. Strauss was also active on the staff of the former CEO Dieter Zetsche for several years.
