FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried recently shared his thoughts on the rivalry between Solana and Ethereum on Kitco News.
Called the Ethereum killer, Solana has performed very well throughout the year, becoming the fifth largest cryptocurrency on the market.
Fried, who did not give a clear answer to the question of whether Solana, one of the popular cryptocurrencies of recent times, can surpass Ethereum, said, “It may or may not pass.”
Fried also shared his thoughts on Ethereum after emphasizing that we should not ignore the possibility of overtaking Ethereum due to Solana’s success over the year.
Drawing attention to the Ethereum 2.0 upgrade, Sam Bankman-Fried stated that ETH can gain wide institutional acceptance thanks to the upgrade.
Fried, one of the richest crypto billionaires, stated that he thinks that meme tokens, which have been on the rise recently, can be an important investment strategy.
When asked about the criteria that investors should consider when choosing a cryptocurrency, Fried said, pointing to meme tokens.
“Memes are very important… They drive the market.”
Although the famous crypto billionaire said that meme tokens are important to the market, he said that meme tokens are risky and investors should be wary of these tokens.
Recalling the Squid Game cryptocurrency scam, which attracted public attention, the billionaire warned investors not to invest more than they are ready to lose.
“No matter what you invest in, it can eventually go as low as 90%.”
