BTK Penalties Companies Making Illegal Sales Calls

Many companies have been announcing their campaigns by calling our personal phones, especially in the last 1-2 years. These illegal sales and marketing calls were starting to bother us as citizens.

Although we can now prevent them through e-Government, we cannot completely eradicate them. Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK), such fined companies that made an illegal search.

15 companies were fined 51.5 million TL in total

BTK had initiated an administrative investigation process for companies seeking citizens to market their internet access services without permission and irregularity. This process was completed yesterday and BTK has published its official decision.

According to the official decision document published by BTK, 15 companies/operators were fined 51.5 million TL in total. The amount of fines per company differs.
