İbrahim Ethem Hamamcı, who preferred Istanbul Medipol University International Faculty of Medicine as the LYS Winner in 2016 and did a double major in the Computer Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, preferred Switzerland to do his doctorate. Having received scholarship doctorate offers from the world’s most prestigious universities in the Ivy League, such as Yale and Pennsylvania, Hamamcı opted for the doctoral program at the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
Hamamcı, who will be a research assistant at the University of Zurich, will continue his academic studies with the Zurich University Hospital and the Zurich Federal Institute of Technology Artificial Intelligence Center. Dr. Hamamcı, who will specialize in machine learning and medical image processing, has been advising Prof. Dr. Bjoern Menze will do.
