Boss Jörg Frischholz warns of a severe recession

Frankfurt If the economy slumps in the current year, NordLB is in danger of slipping into the red again. “In the event of a severe recession, our profit target for this year would of course be in danger,” CEO Jörg Frischholz told Handelsblatt.

However, the banker does not fear a serious crisis: “Our scenario calculations show that we would not get into serious difficulties as a result.” In 2021, the Hannoveraner Landesbank made a small profit again after three years of losses.
