Stuttgart There are still about two weeks before a fabulous career in the best sense of the word will come to an end. Franz Fehrenbach, who has worked continuously for the Stuttgart-based Robert Bosch GmbH since 1975, is giving up his functions as chairman of the supervisory board and managing partner on New Year’s Eve.
But anyone who even thinks for a moment that the 72-year-old might slowly end his managerial life after 46 years in the company, has probably not had the opportunity to meet or speak to Franz Fehrenbach in the past few days and weeks.
In the Bosch headquarters on the Schillerhöhe in Gerlingen, on the outskirts above Stuttgart, Fehrenbach welcomed him for a farewell talk on this cold December morning. He is wearing a medium blue suit and a bright white shirt, the top button of which remains unemployed.
