There is again euphoria in the crypto markets.

New York, Frankfurt The price of Bitcoin, the oldest and largest cryptocurrency, reached the highest level in the history of the coin on Wednesday afternoon on the Coinmarketcap.com crypto platform. At around 3:45 p.m. German time, the digital currency topped the $ 66,000 mark for the first time. The current value replaces the previous all-time high: On April 14 of this year, a Bitcoin cost $ 64,863.
The breakthrough of the important mark follows a previously turbulent year on the crypto market: While a Bitcoin cost around 29,000 dollars at the beginning of January, the cyber currency reached its peak in mid-April after a few setbacks, and by July the price fell again by more than half – to then gradually recover, interrupted by a few setbacks. Many investors are now hoping for a year-end rally.
