Bitcoin Below $36,000 – Lowest since July

The oldest and most important cryptocurrency has lost 44 percent from the record high of almost 69,000 in November.

Dusseldorf, New York Bitcoin fell below $35,000 on Saturday, its lowest level since late July. Bitcoin is trading at $35,600 on Saturday afternoon. The largest cryptocurrency has lost a good seven percent in the past 24 hours.

The second largest currency, ether, and various smaller coins went down even more. In the early German afternoon, ether was down around twelve percent at $2,470. Solana lost around 16 percent and was trading at $100.

The crypto industry is bracing for more turmoil after the new drastic sell-off. Since Bitcoin’s most recent all-time high in November, the digital currency has lost almost 50 percent in value, with the market capitalization falling by around $600 billion. The market as a whole has lost nearly $1.4 trillion in value, according to data from analytics firm Coinmarketcap.
