Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Statement from the Ministry of Finance of Russia!

After the crypto money and Bitcoin bans from China, a statement came from Russia, while wondering how other countries would behave.

Speaking to reporters today about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency bans, Russian Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev said that the government has no plans to ban Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

Stating that Russia will not follow China in this regard, Moiseev said that citizens will be able to buy digital assets and store them in crypto wallets.

“For now, I can say that cryptocurrency payments are prohibited. Citizens can buy and store cryptocurrencies. For now, I can say that no changes will be made on these issues. We have no such plans.”

While there is no ban on buying, selling and storing cryptocurrencies in Russia, cryptocurrency payments are not allowed. We have a similar arrangement in this regard. Because, it was stated that crypto asset payments are prohibited with the regulation issued by the Central Bank.

Turkey and Russia take a similar approach in their attitudes towards cryptocurrencies. A few months ago, he had announced that he had no intention of banning cryptocurrencies in Turkey.

We see that China is alone in terms of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency bans. Time will tell if countries’ approaches to this sector will change after they issue their own digital currencies like China.
