In terms of transaction volume, the world’s largest cryptocurrency Binance has hired former Chairman of Mexico’s Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) Adalberto Palma Gómez as a global advisor.

Mexico’s Chief Financial Officer Appointed as Advisor to Binance

The exchange recently told Mexican newspaper Expansion that Gómez will be part of Binance’s recently created global advisory board.

Head of CNBV from December 2018 to March 2020, Gómez trained as a biochemical engineer but spent his career in the finance industry.

After leaving the Mexican Securities Commission, he joined the Economic Growth Cabinet created by Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in 2020.

Earlier this week, Binance added another member to its global advisory board with the appointment of former Brazilian Central Bank Governor and Minister of Economy Henrique Meirelles.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, which was the target of global regulators last year, started to be more meticulous in complying with regulatory rules after these developments.

The company has incorporated former senior officials from many countries around the world. In Brazil, Latin America’s largest economy, the former Central Bank governor and the country’s former Finance Minister had recently joined the company as a consultant.

However, CZ has stated that they will continue to recruit their companies despite the bear market.
