At the meeting, it was stated that there are 7 Turcorns that have achieved valuations exceeding billion dollars to date. Among the Turcorn candidates Ace Games, Albert Health, AppSamurai, Bulutistan, Colendi, Enqura, Çok, Magellan, Picus, Pixery, RS Research, Techsign, Vispera, VRLab Academy, Wask Companies such as were included.
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır stated that the term “Unicorn” is used for startups that scale rapidly from the startup level in the world entrepreneurship ecosystem and exceed the company valuation of 1 billion dollars. He emphasized that companies originating from Turkey, which have successfully completed the early stage, aim for success on a global scale and exceed a billion dollar valuation are called “Turcorn”. Kacır also added that they have a target of 100 thousand techno-entrepreneurships by 2030 within the scope of the National Entrepreneurship Strategy.
Kacır stated that applications for new Turcorn candidates will continue and that the Ministry of Industry and Technology will offer companies opportunities such as access to financial resources, the opportunity to participate in domestic and international acceleration programs, and world brand program stakeholders through the Turcorn 100 Program.
