Washington US President Joe Biden intends to run for a second term in the 2024 election, according to Vice President Kamala Harris. “He intends to run and if he does, I intend to run with him,” Harris said Sunday on US broadcaster CBS. In the November 2024 election, Biden would be 81 years old. There was speculation in Washington whether he would actually compete again.

In polls, less than 40 percent are now satisfied with the Democrat’s performance. That’s worse than his Republican predecessor, Donald Trump, at this point in the presidency.

The 76-year-old has repeatedly hinted that he could run again in 2024, but has not yet officially declared his candidacy. Trump lost to Biden in the November 2020 election. But he never accepted his defeat.

During an election campaign appearance in Anchorage in the US state Trump left open on Saturday evening whether he would run for office. He merely announced: “We will take back our magnificent White House.” Trump repeated his refuted claim that he was cheated of his victory in the 2020 election.
