BBC documentary about Prince Philip († 99): “He got older and he hated that” – Royals

The Royals have never shown themselves so privately!

Six months after the death of Prince Philip († 99), the BBC shows a moving documentary about him on Wednesday evening. The special thing about it: The Queen (95) made her private film archive available for this purpose.

Family members revealed his final secrets

► Being a senior was not for Philip. “He was getting older and he hated it,” said granddaughter Zara Tindall (40).

► He was always at the grill himself. Grandson Prince William (39): “There has never been a case of food poisoning in connection with him in this family.”

► He was cynical to the end. Son Charles (72) phoned him shortly before Philip’s death to discuss a 100th birthday celebration. His answer: “I still have to live for that, right?”
