Bayraktar TB3 production and inventory entry date has been announced!
The TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship was launched last year. The final assembly processes were also completed recently and the final testing process began. However, due to the US embargo, sales of the F-35 were shelved indefinitely. Turkey also decided to turn TCG Anadolu into a SİHA and helicopter carrier.
Bayraktar TB3, the development process of which was shaped in response to this demand, will appear as a version of Bayraktar TB2 with a longer, wider, high and foldable wing structure. Of course, it is possible to see the 2nd version of the fixed wing.
Another important innovation brought by Bayraktar TB3 is that it can carry almost twice as much load as TB2, while maintaining its price-performance range. Of course, this also affects the design. Because a little more weight will be on the wings. For this reason, we see that the hind legs of the SİHA are positioned under the wing instead of the fuselage.
With the last statement of Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar, Bayraktar TB3 production and inventory entry date has been determined. According to the statement, the first flight will be carried out in the coming months. It will go into mass production by the end of the year. In other words, it will take its place in the TAF inventory before the end of 2023.
