A new member joins Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles developed by Baykar Defense. According to the statements made by the CTO of the company, Selçuk Bayraktar, the SİHA, which will be launched under the name Bayraktar TB-3, will be able to take off from the short runway on the TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship, which will be put into service in the future.

The TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship was launched last year and the final assembly process has begun. However, with the embargo, the USA canceled the sale of the vertical take-off and landing F-35B and other F-35 jets. After that, Turkey decided to turn TCG Anadolu into a SİHA and helicopter carrier.
Developed in this direction, Bayraktar TB3 will appear as an improved version of the TB2s in terms of its features and with a foldable wing structure. In the image shared by Baykar above, it was stated that although the folding place of the wings cannot be selected, it will be like this in previous posts.
Bayraktar TB2 survived the S-300 missile!
Speaking to the British press, the Ukrainian UAV pilot explained how Bayraktar TB2 SİHA survived after being hit by the S-300 missile.
In addition, we know that TB3 is physically larger. In addition, a little more weight will be put on the wings, which can carry almost 3 times the load of the TB2. For this reason, we see that the hind legs of the SİHA are positioned under the wing instead of the fuselage.
Another good development in Bayraktar TB3 is on the engine side. Because in this aircraft, 172 horsepower (61% more powerful than TB2) produced by TUSAŞ Motor Industry or TEI for short. It was informed that TEI made the first delivery to Baykar for the relevant engine in the past months. It is known that prototypes using these engines will make their first flight this year. In other words, when TCG Anadolu is taken into inventory, it will be ready for duty.
