Baykar continues to make a name for himself with the UAV and SİHA systems it produces. Although it is mostly remembered for the performance of these vehicles in the field and the events that developed as a result, Bayraktar TB2 became the agenda with the record it broke with the number of production.
Bayraktar TB2 broke a record with the number of productions!
Baykar is currently running multiple projects. The most well-known among them are Bayraktar TB2 SİHA and Akıncı TİHA models. However, the development activities of Bayraktar TB3, which can take off from the TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship, and MIUS with a turbofan engine, also known as Kızılelma, continue.
Haluk Bayraktar, on the other hand, managed to become the agenda of the world press with his latest statement about the production number of Bayraktar TB2. Production capacity has tripled, he said, and 20 TB2s are produced per month. Moreover, orders were reserved for the next 3 years.
Bayraktar TB2 survived the S-300 missile!
Speaking to the British press, the Ukrainian UAV pilot explained how Bayraktar TB2 SİHA survived after being hit by the S-300 missile.
In other words, 240 Bayraktar TB2s are produced annually. Despite this, all 720 SİHAs that will be off the band by 2025 have already been sold. Of course, it is known that agreements with 22 countries have been officially signed so far and more than 10 countries have started negotiations to purchase.
In addition, it is known that more than 50 Bayraktar TB3s have been ordered by the Turkish Armed Forces and will be ready to serve in TCG Anadolu by the end of the year, and Akıncı A and B models are delivered regularly every month. In addition, it was said that an agreement was signed with 4 countries for the sale of Akıncı.
Of course, it is very difficult for Baykar to meet the needs of the whole world with its current production capacity. For this reason, a new production facility that will employ more than a thousand people will be established with an investment of 600 million TL in the Esenyurt district of Istanbul. However, it should be noted that this factory will focus on MIUS production as much as the current models.
Baykar, on the other hand, broke a new record with the production number of Bayraktar TB2. Because even when we look at the world’s most famous unmanned aerial vehicles, there has not been a model produced and demanded as much as the TB2.
Moreover, by 2025, it will be produced in more numbers than many propeller and jet-powered aircraft. In fact, if we look at the 2030 target, thousands of Bayraktar TB2, TB3 and Akıncı used by dozens of countries from Asia to Europe around the world will be. This means that Turkey, which is currently in the top 3 in UAV technologies, will play in the first place.
