Los Angeles Bayer claims to have prevailed in a glyphosate lawsuit in Los Angeles in which the company was sued by the mother of an underage boy. The jury should have decided whether the boy’s illness with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma was due to the use of the weed killer Roundup and would have denied it, Bayer said on Tuesday.

“We have great sympathy for Ezra Clark and his family, but the jury carefully weighed the scientific evidence on this case and came to the conclusion that glyphosate is not the cause of his illness,” said the company.

Bayer had brought legal disputes around Roundup 2018 with the over 60 billion dollar purchase of US seed giant Monsanto. The agrochemical and pharmaceutical company is facing numerous other glyphosate lawsuits in the United States, which Bayer would actually like to settle with a major settlement.
