Bad news for AMD’s new processors: It can be delayed

Ryzen 5000 series Threadripper processors may be delayed

Known for its reliable leaks in the hardware industry, Twitter user “greymon55” made a post that upset users about the release dates of new generation processors. The person, who did not directly name the processors in the post, but used the codename “Chagall”, claimed that the AMD Ryzen 5000 series Threadripper processors were delayed to 2022.

Thereupon, the claims that the processors in question will debut with the code name Chagall in 2022 began to increase. However, it should be noted that there is no clear explanation from AMD for the time being.

Apart from this, hardware manufacturer Gigabyte was cyber-attacked in August and important information of various hardware, including the Threadripper 5990X processor, was leaked. According to the leaked information, 5990X; It will have 64 cores and 128 threads, as well as 256 MB of L3 cache and 64 PCIe 4.0 support. Details about the clock speed of the processor have not been shared yet.

Important information has also emerged about AMD’s two Pro-model 5000 Threadripper processors, listed as Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5995WX and Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5945WX. Accordingly, the 5995WX model has 64 cores and 128 threads, while the 5945WX model has 12 cores and 24 threads. Finally, let’s say that the leaked models are developed for workstations and will be released in 2022.
