Asus introduced the new Zenbook family at CES 2022!

CES, which was held digitally last year due to Covid-19, returned as a physical activity as of yesterday. The fair, which was followed with interest by technology enthusiasts, had some difficulties due to the epidemic, but companies from all over the world participated.

Asus expands its Zenbook family

Asus, which showed up at the event with Premium products especially for content producers this year, emphasized portability and design. Inspired by ZEN in its products, the company also introduced its new logo.

Zenbook 14 OLED

One of the most remarkable laptops of 2022 is undoubtedly the Zenbook 14 OLED. Defined as the combination of modern technologies with stylish design, the product is 16.9mm thick and weighs 1.39 kilograms. The Zenbook 14, which attracts attention especially with its screen, comes up with a 90Hz OLED screen with a resolution of 2.8K, despite its small size.

This NanoEdge display in 16:10 format supports 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. At the same time, it can go up to 550 nits of brightness. Zenbook 14 OLED, which is also very assertive in terms of performance, comes with the 12th generation Intel i7 1260P and Iris XE graphics processing unit.

In addition, 16GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD are also available in this device. At the same time, the Zenbook 14 comes with OLED with plenty of Thunderbolt 4.0 supported connectivity ports including HDMI and card reader to increase productivity. The 75Wh battery of the device can be charged via the type C port.

Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition

The Zenbook 14X, which was released a while ago, is being refreshed in line with 2022. Dubbed the Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition, the new version is inspired by the company’s first laptop launched into space in 1997. The device, which comes with a very interesting design, has a second screen on the back cover.

This 3.5 inch OLED display only shows black and white colors. In this way, it can be used to show notifications or functional features, while it has a very low battery consumption. Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition, which is also very durable, can withstand extreme temperatures such as low and high temperatures.

The device, which is assertive in terms of performance, as in everything else, takes its power from Intel’s i9-12900H processor. On the graphics side, it uses the built-in Iris Xe interface. The device, which comes with a 32GB RAM option, has a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. At the same time, innovative technologies such as Wi-Fi 6E also appear in this product.

When we look at the main screen, we see the frameless design that we are used to. This screen, which supports the DCI-P3 color gamut 100 percent, has a resolution of 2880 × 1800 and a refresh rate of 90Hz. At the same time, HDR certification is also included in this OLED panel. Its battery is 63Wh.

Zenbook 17 Fold OLED

Introduced as the world’s first foldable 17-inch OLED screen, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED actually resembles a large tablet rather than a laptop. Developed in partnership with Intel, Asus and panel manufacturer BOE, the device can make both those who want a large screen and those who prefer a 13-inch portable laptop at the same time.

The device, which is 17.3 inches in size and 2560×1920 resolution when fully opened, becomes a portable laptop with a resolution of 12.5 inches 1920×1080 when folded. This OLED screen has an 87 percent screen-to-body ratio and supports standards such as HDR, DCI-P3, which will please content producers.

At the same time, a Harman Kardon speaker and an AI noise canceling microphone are also included in this system. The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED can be used as a standard laptop with a Bluetooth headset that is magnetically attached to the screen.

When we look at the hardware part, we see Inetl’s 12th Generation i7-1250U processor. The device, which does not have any video card, uses the Iris Xe internal graphics unit that comes with the CPU. While the amount of storage space of the Zenbook 17 Fold, which comes with 16GB of RAM, remains a mystery for now, the fact that all these features are only 1.6 kilograms has also managed to attract attention.
