Deutsche Telekom raises outlook for 2021 again
Thanks to good business on both sides of the Atlantic, Deutsche Telekom is even more confident about the year as a whole. It’ll now be with a Adjusted operating profit excluding leasing expenses (Ebitda AL) of around 38 billion euros (most recently at least 37.2 billion euros), announced the Bonn-based Dax group on Friday, which is the third time this year is raising its forecast. With this, Deutsche Telekom follows the US subsidiary T-Mobile US, which had already raised its expectations at the end of July.
That put in the third quarter adjusted Ebitda AL of the entire group easily by 0.2 percent to 9.7 billion euros to. Of the sales increased after adjustment for consolidation and currency effects by 2.1 percent to 26.9 billion euros. Deutsche Telekom’s operating profit was above analysts’ forecasts, but revenue was below that. According to a survey commissioned by the company itself, analysts expected average revenues of EUR 27.15 billion and an adjusted Ebitda AL of EUR 9.35 billion.
