Assassin’s Creed Origins Coming to Xbox Game Pass

Assassin’s Creed Origins, which changed the gameplay of Ubisoft’s beloved series Assassin’s Creed and derived the two games that came after it, is coming to Xbox Game Pass, Xbox’s monthly subscription game service.

Microsoft employee Megan Spurr wrote in a blog post published Tuesday that one of Ubisoft’s popular games takes place in Ancient Egypt. Assassin’s Creed Origins says it’s coming to Xbox Game Pass. Spurr said the game will arrive in the next two months and will be playable on console, via the cloud service, and on PC via the Ubisoft Connect app.

Microsoft and Ubisoft were asked if they could share a more precise date for when they’ll bring Origins to Xbox Game Pass, but an exact date has not yet been obtained. Ubisoft already has quite a few games on Game Pass. For example, Rainbow Six: Extraction, which was also released on Game Pass on the day of its release in January.

Ubisoft also plans to bring Ubisoft Plus to Xbox

Ubisoft also plans to bring the Ubisoft Plus subscription service to Xbox at some point in the future. Ubisoft Plus is a service that lets you play over 100 Ubisoft games, but it will be a separate subscription service from Xbox Game Pass. This system gives Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers access to many EA games in addition to those available on Game Pass. It will be slightly different from the EA Play partnership.
