Armament company is building massive staff

Rheinmetall is looking for IT specialists at all of its locations. Applicants can expect high pay.

Dusseldorf Germany’s largest armaments company, Rheinmetall, wants to massively increase its workforce. “In order to create our growth, we want to hire a few thousand people worldwide every year,” said CEO Armin Papperger to the Handelsblatt. In Germany alone, almost 1,000 jobs would be created this year. According to the Rheinmetall boss, 700 of them are already occupied.

There are currently almost 1,300 vacancies on the company’s career page, compared to 750 in June 2021. More than 900 of the currently advertised positions are in Germany, most of them in Unterlüß, Kassel and Bremen.

The headquarters of Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH are in Unterlüß in Lower Saxony. Within the armaments group, the company is responsible for tank production, among other things. IT positions in particular are currently vacant there, but engineers for the development of new weapon systems and tanks are also needed.
