ARM Announces New Cortex CPUs

This change will increase the performance of the Cortex-X4, especially in processes that require single-core performance. According to the information shared by the company, the new processor consumes the same power as the previous processor X3. 15% higher performance will present.

In conditions where the performance is the same as the X3, energy efficiency will come to the fore. The X4 will consume 40% less power in the scenario where it performs the same as the X3.

Arm’s new G720 graphics processor will be a graphics processor that improves ray tracing capabilities in the mobile world. According to the details shared by Arm, the graphics processor will support up to 10 cores. The graphics processor can be configured between 6 and 9 cores.

The G620 will support up to 5 cores. Both GPUs will offer up to 40% better efficiency per watt at the system level and up to 15% better per watt at the graphics processing level. In addition, Arm also stated that HDR rendering will be 2x faster and peak performance will be up to 15% higher.

The new processor and graphics processors are expected to hit the market in early 2024.
