A new Apple patent involves a foldable iPhone with a layer that will automatically fill in any damage to the screen. With this move, Apple also showed how it will differentiate itself from the foldable phones of other brands such as Samsung. The screens of other foldable devices are thinner than normal and allow for stretching. But this feature also made the devices more vulnerable to impacts and scratches.
