Apple M3 Max competes with NVIDIA’s most powerful cards!

Apple’s newest processor, the M3 Max, has made quite a splash, showcasing the company’s impressive progress in its line of custom chipsets. Powered by TSMC’s latest 3nm technology, this high-end processor even outperformed the demanding M2 Ultra in Geekbench’s multi-core processor benchmark results.

Now, in the GFXBench comparison, M3 Max’s 40-core GPU faced NVIDIA’s powerful RTX 3080 and the laptop model of RTX 4080, and unexpected results were obtained.

In the GFXBench Aztex Ruins benchmark, the M3 Max shows off its prowess by hitting 28,517 frames at an average frame rate of 443.5 frames per second (FPS) at 1440p resolution. Surprisingly, the desktop RTX 3080 beats Apple’s 3nm processor by only a slight margin, recording 28,889 frames at an average of 449.3 FPS. Even the laptop model RTX 4080, which is advertised as being faster than its desktop counterpart, only manages to achieve 29,759 frames at 462.8 FPS.

By the way, we should also point out that GFXBench results are not a clear comparison. Previous tests revealed that the M3’s 10-core GPU was only 7.4 percent faster than the M2 despite having the same number of GPU cores.

Apple is closing factories with iPhone 17! Here is the new plan

Apple is preparing to say goodbye to China with the iPhone 17 series. It was said that the device, which will be introduced in 2025, will be produced in India.

We can attribute this discrepancy to the fact that GFXBench hasn’t received an update in over a year and is missing optimizations that are crucial to showcasing the true capabilities of next-gen GPUs. Additionally, GFXBench uses different APIs for testing different GPUs, which is one of the reasons for the slight differences observed.

How fast is Apple's M3 Max processor? Here are the test results!

As a result, Apple M3 Max, produced with TSMC’s 3nm technology, proved its quality by competing head-to-head with NVIDIA’s powerful RTX 3080 and RTX 4080’s laptop model in GFXBench benchmarks.

The charging problem with Apple Watches is finally solved!

The charging problem with Apple Watches is finally solved!

Apple Watch users are facing a serious charging problem! A pleasing statement came from Apple regarding the issue. Here are the details…

However, given the potential limitations of the GFXBench platform and the subtle differences in GPU architectures and APIs, these results should be interpreted with caution. What are you thinking? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
