The smartphone world has been on the rise in recent years. In addition, there is great competition in this field. So much so that LG stated that the competition was quite high and withdrew from the smartphone world. Recently, this competition has spread to 5G-enabled smartphones. However, in this area, Apple stands out.
1/3 of 5G smartphones on the market belong to Apple
The 5G wind continues to increase in the smartphone market. According to Counterpoint Research data, 5G-enabled devices account for 51 percent of smartphones on the market. These data indicate that one in two people in the smartphone world uses a 5G-enabled smartphone. In this field, Apple made a name for itself not long after introducing the 5G iPhone smartphones.
Counterpoint Research shared the ratios of companies that have a say in the smartphone world. According to these data, Apple holds the lead with 37 percent in the 5G phone market. In a sense, one out of every three people in the 5G world uses an iPhone.
According to the published report, Samsung ranks second in the 5G world with 12 percent. Xiaomi and Vivo share the third place with 11 percent. On the other hand, Oppo ranks fourth with 10 percent. Although Samsung was the first to enter the world of 5G compatible smartphones in 2019, its market share remained at very low levels.
