Since 2011, Apple has been offering My Photo Stream, a free cloud-based photo backup service. Although it is free, this feature was not adopted by most users due to many restrictions. The company has now decided to remove this feature.
End of the road for My Photo Stream
The fact that My Photo Stream is being removed is not a big surprise. Despite being free, the restrictions on the amount of photos you can upload and the fact that they are only stored on Apple servers for 30 days limited the use of this storage service.
This service also reduced their resolution when backing up high-quality photos. Due to this and similar restrictions, this service, which is not preferred much, is being unplugged. According to the information received, Apple will completely remove the My Photo Stream feature on July 26.

Apple’s support page has announced that new photo uploads to My Photo Stream will end on June 26, and the feature will disappear completely after a month. Noting that the photos included in this service are available on at least one of the devices of Apple users, the company states that its customers will not lose any photos.
