London According to the Wall Street Journal, iPhone maker Apple has accelerated its plans to withdraw parts of its production from China in recent weeks. Apple is asking its suppliers to be more active in planning the assembly of Apple products to other countries in Asia, the newspaper reported, citing insiders. There should be relocations to India and Vietnam in particular.

The unrest in the world’s largest iPhone factory of Apple supplier Foxconn also contributed to the development, it said.

The Reuters news agency recently reported that problems at the plant in the central Chinese industrial metropolis of Zhengzhou were affecting production ahead of the important Christmas season more than previously thought. The factory mainly builds the latest iPhone 14.
